How long did it take?

Hi all, how long did it take for your SO to tell you they loved you? How long did it take before they proposed? When did you know you loved them or wanted to be with them for life?

We were so young when we first started dating. I was 13 and he was 14. Really got serious the year we turned 16. He told me he loved me first when we were 16.
Proposed on our daughter’s birth day July 22nd 2015, when we were 22. 
Married a year later on September 1st 💜

It took 3 years for him to say it. Sometimes I got worried but I would remind myself he showed me his love more than in words

Said he loved me after like 2 or 3 months? I don't remember the exact time frame tbh. I just remember it being kind of fast. I was crying and he just instinctively said it to try and calm me down. A few hours later, he said it again and I said it back.

He told me he loved me about 6 months into the relationship, proposed after a year but we had some issues and I told him we needed to work on them before hand (he took it as a no I just wanted us to be on the same page about kids and those things first. Plus he was in a custody battle for my two oldest step kids) he took it as a no. However he asked AGAIN about 8 months later and I said yes. Been together 7 years married for it will be 2 in October. We decided to take time to enjoy the engagement.

Every relationship and couple are different. So it’s most important what works for you.  Hubby and I knew we were in love within a couple months and we have no intention of ever getting married. That’s just not our thing.

He told me he loved me immediately (he had been in love with me for years I just hadn’t noticed until we started dating) and we got engaged after 5 months of dating.
