Would you still go to your safe place if it was threatened to be attacked?

I recently saw this on my news alerts. And was so saddened and heart broken.

Let’s take religion out of it, would you still go somewhere knowing it’s been threatened to be attacked?

No. My faith/traditions are important to me, they’re not more important than mine or my sons life. If I knew about a threat, I’d do everything to keep us safe.

What does living in fear achieve? Because all it says to me is that they win.
Nobody goes anywhere thinking that, that will be their last moments but it happens. If you stop going anywhere because you're afraid something might happen you'll stop living and it's a bit rich coming from me but that's no life.

I’m torn. 
On one hand, I would never want fear to come between me and my faith. I’d never want to back down from my sanctuary because of the evil, corrupt people on this earth. God gave His life for me, any time I have on this earth is a gift from Him to begin with. I have no fear of death. 
On the other hand. I’m pregnant, and I have a little girl. Neither of these babies have decided to give their lives to this religion and faith like I have. They haven’t had the chance to make such a choice, and I don’t think it’s my place as their mother to make that kind of choice for them. I hope they do one day... but I don’t think I could put them in a position where they could be harmed. 
Part of being a parent is God trusting me to use the wisdom and knowledge I have to protect the children He gave me. I think in this situation, the right choice would be to not go if there is a threat of harm. 
So... if it were just me, yes I would go. But since I’m a mother, no. I would view my place as with my children, away from harm.

Yes I would . if we start living in fear then the terrorists have already won . I will continue to go where I want but ill definitely be more vigilant .

This is the first I've seen that they had warnings of threats. They could have prevented this but didnt do anything??

Nope. I’m Roman Catholic, a really bad one, but catholic non the less.. the one good thing about having a faith is that it can go anywhere. You don’t need a specific building to worship, pray, practice your teachings. If I was a devout catholic and there was even a chance of being  blown up/shot/set on fire/beheaded/etc... just anything extreme that would cause me to die, I’d be staying home 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m not putting my life, or my families for that matter, up to chance. Nope, not today Satan!

This has weighed so heavy on me all day ... My son has been ripped apart by this We prayed quite a few times today Giel I can barely leave the county

i’m not religious whatsoever, so maybe my views are skewed, but no i would not go somewhere that was threatened. once there’s been a threat, it’s not a “safe space” anymore- it’s a target. in my opinion loving/wanting to serve your god is not worth your life. i also believe that faith is what you do and believe, NOT the building in which you do so. i believe a prayer sent at your bedside, in your car, or before you eat at a fast food restaurant is just as loud as the prayer sent in a church or other holy place
