Start stalking his fb and Insta for someone named brandie and see if it's his cousin. That's what I would do at least so I could figure out if he's lying or not. It could go either way and you guys haven't been in a relationship long enough to have a good sense of trust.  But on the other hand if you're already doubting him then maybe it's a sign to just trust your gut and move on.
