Baby shower #1

I had my baby shower last weekend with his side of his family & I did not sit at all . Him & I hosted the whole thing, planned decorated, etc. His family not once asked if we needed help or if we needed anything specific for the baby. So fast forward all I got was 0-3 months clothes that honestly was plain or weird looking. They made no effort & just gave us one gift for a family of 8. So I basically have no tags or receipts to anything. I didn't get anything I put on the registry so we're back to square 1. Now we have to spend our money on everything we need before the baby comes. I read a few posts about how ppl didn't show up to the baby showers & I had his whole family show up & 2 random ppl from his work that I never met were the ones who bought us a high chair & diaper trash can. Those were the only good gifts 😑 I appreciate the clothes but i didn't add it to my registry for a reason. I'm disappointed.

My mom is planning one herself & I'm crossing my fingers I get baby bottles the least 😢

Anyone else on the same boat?

Quick update:

I didn't expect ppl to buy me expensive gifts, so we bought that stuff before & told his family what we needed & they told us we would get the stuff not to buy anything.
