Can allergic reactions cause pimples?

My family has an old wooden porch. I accidentally scraped my arm on it today and it started burning and breaking me out in hives so I quickly washed it with soap and water, popped a Benadryl and walked away and forgot about it. I’ll post pictures tomorrow but I just wrapped it for tonight. I’m allergic to the adhesive in bandaids and they melt my skin off so I have to wrap any kind of wound. ANYWAYS, I know that allergic reactions-contact dermatitis, can cause blisters. But the bumps from this scrape are straight up pimples. Unless there’s some sort of blisters that look and feel exactly like pimples? Can that happen?

They hurt to touch or even rub against fabric.
