Cycle after miscarriage

What were your cycles like after miscarrying? We lost ours at 8 weeks and I started bleeding 3/17, which lasted one week. I haven’t had a period yet, but the FRER I took yesterday was positive. Could it be residual hormones? How long does it take for your body to return normal with HCG? I don’t want to get my hopes up for a new pregnancy yet just in case, but over 5 weeks seems like a long time. Any experiences?
