Everything happens for a reason
Today I had to go into the town where my husband works. He asked me to stay a couple hours until he got off so we could shop together for a few things for our new house.
I started feeling really sick and ended up just going home. I was disappointed that we wouldn’t be able to go shop together.
He was supposed to get off at 5:45. It is now 8:45, and he just got off work. In a way I’m glad I came home because I would be ticked having stayed there for that long.
He worked so late because he walked into the kitchen and found the cook on the floor. She had slipped and fallen and couldn’t get up. She ended up leaving in a neck brace in the ambulance. He said that if he wouldn’t have gone in the kitchen to put away something that someone else left out, he wouldn’t have found her. That meant he worked later, but that also meant that no one may have found her if he hadn’t.
These things were just a small reminder that things happen for a reason. Even when it seems disappointing or inconvenient, there is a reason. It could be small, or it could be significant.
I hope this can be an encouragement for someone today.
