Would you take your 5 week old to a movie at the theater?

Asking because my husband really wants us to go see the new marvel movie this week (I want to see the movie too), but I’m not ready to leave my EBF baby at home (even with my pumped milk). 
I’m just concerned it’ll be too loud for baby and about all the germs from the other movie-goers...

There used to be a theater by me that would have a “baby and me” showtime once a month. The lights weren’t as dim and the volume wasn’t as loud. They would show whatever was the hit movie that month in the middle of a Tuesday and the theater would be almost all moms with babies and the occasional small child. It was fantastic. You need to BF? Cool. Baby fussy and you need to pace the aisle? Do that. Diaper blowout and you ran out of wipes? Girl I got you. It was so nice being able to leave the house and do something that felt normal and also being able to care for LO.

Please ,and I cannot stress this enough, do not bring your baby to see End Game. That movie is three hours long and very important to most people going to see it. I am going on opening day to see it and am also EBF. Baby will be with his Nonna so we can have an evening to go out to dinner and watch the movie without pissing everyone off. I would be livid if we showed up and someone brought their kid.

I’m taking ours to the drive in theater since it’s such a long movie so we can be in the comfort of our car to feed or if she gets fussy!

I went when my lil one was 2 weeks old. We went to a super early show and there was only one other lady with 2 kids there. She slept and nursed the whole time. 
If you go early and prepare yourself to step out if your babe is super fussy, you should be fine.

I feel if you can take them to church you can take them to the movies. The only different with movies you can pick a day and time that most people would be at work. That’s what we did and luckily for us there was only one other couple so the movie theater was empty.

We went to see a movie last week when my baby was 6 weeks old and I’m also EBF. It was tough being away from him for that long for the first time but he didn’t even notice I was gone. I pumped then nursed him before we left, he went to sleep and was still asleep when we came back home luckily. I was so worried but he was with my mom and safe and she knows to text me any and all updates.

We took our 4week old to a movie. We got little things to put on her ears to muffle the noise and I had her in a Moby wrap. We went after she had nursed and played so she was sleepy. She also sleeps super well being worn anyway. She slept through the whole movie, and if I saw her making a "I think I might cry" face I'd take her by the door and bounce until the face went away. She didn't make more than a wimper, and I got to see the whole movie. Just be very aware of her so you can take her out or soothe her before she gets fussy so as not to disturb anyone.
