Career & Parents

El

I feel like I’m in a bit of a predicament. I’m trying my best not to get upset about it (but I kind of am to be honest). First thing you should know... I DO come from a loving home. I love my parents. I still live at home and regardless of us butting heads sometimes, I still love them. BUT ever since coming back they’ve never really been supportive of some of my career moves. They wanted me to get a good job for what I went to school for... flash forward 6 years later and I’ve shifted my path and decided to work on my own Videography & Photography Business. It’s all freelance still, but one day I would LOVE for this to be full-time.

The issue is, when ever I get a client and I tell them “oh, do you mind if I borrow the car for this client meeting?” They seem okay with it, but then they dig deeper and they seem judgmental about it all. So I’m not sure if I’m not explaining things properly or if they just don’t care. I would LOVE to hear if anyone is in a similar situation or any advice you might have.
