Hi!

I am looking for opinions. I don’t mind having a celebration of our upcoming addition, but I do not want to have a traditional shower. I have never liked showers ( I hate feeling obligated to go and get stuck watching MTB open gifts )( I still go to showers, but I don’t want to make others feel the way I do? If that make sense.) I didn’t like the games or opening gifts for hours in front of a crowded room at all for my wedding shower, so I am looking for something a little different. I would like to have a BBQ outside and have it open all day for people to stop by say hi, eat lunch and celebrate. If they want to bring a gift we would open it right then if they wanted us to. I want them to feel free to swing by and stay as long as they want to. I do not want to play shower games, but instead have bags, washers ect I am looking for thoughts on this idea? And also is it rude to put where we will be registering but out line what our goal for our babyQ will be? Trying to not be pushy or rude, but I have a feeling it will come off that way. TIA 🥰
