I was reading a debate online about this I’m not going to give my opinion but here was some arguments others were making.

* it would help with over population

* having multiple children keeps the poor in poverty

* if you can’t take care of them then don’t have them

* older children of poor families are forced to be homeless or join the military because their parents can’t help provide for them

* to much tax money goes to families that can’t afford their children

* no because the government should not have that much power on personal matters

* everyone should be allowed to have as many children as they want

* many factors go in to raising children and money doesn’t make one parent better then another

* just because one family has a low income doesn’t mean they can’t get support from other family like grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends etc.
