Anyone’s husband get turned off by ttc?

My husband wants to have a baby, don’t get me wrong he really wants one. I have been taking the ovulation sticks, and using the pre-seed. He said when he’s ready to go, and I have to stop and grab the lube, it kind of turns him off of wanting to have sex. The process of TTC has become almost a turn off for him. I don’t know if it’s the stress, or the pressure of that is on him, but does anyone else’s husband say the same thing?

Yes!!!! When we first got married we had sex all the time and it was great but since we decided to stop preventing, my husband has even started to not be able to perform which has never been an issue before. Now, there are times we have sex and he doesn’t cum bc he gets tired or he doesn’t stay “interested” bc he is tired. We are both 30 and fit but it was super discouraging and hurtful for me. I felt like i wasn’t attractive so i expressed that to him and he told me that he feels pressure and when i come to him and initiate sex he feels overwhelmed more than turned on. He doesn’t like have to schedule sex. Since we have talked about it. I have stopped sharing anything with him about when i ovulate and we just have sex. He is much better. I still track i just don’t tell him about it 😆

My hubby is the same way. If I use lube I put it in prior to so he doesn’t ever see it. Mine doesn’t like the “scheduling” aspect of it. I usually say it’s ovulation time let do it! And he doesn’t like that, he says I should just “make moves” lol. I’m like dude you’re getting frequent sex so stop complaining. On the serious side I understand that he doesn’t want it to feel like a job and that it’s just to make a baby. TTC is stressful! Baby Dust to you!

I’ve seen this a lot on here! I didn’t tell mine when I was ovulating, I hid the OPKs. 😉 as far as he’s concerned we just got lucky! Men...

My partner really struggles with this.  Performance anxiety and I totally understand.   He has 'blue pills' now, I don't care how practical we need to be.  We both want it, but it's the stress that gets the better of him.

It’s so important to remember that this is a journey that impacts the both of you in differing and similar ways. It’s so important not to make sex about ttc! Of course the outcome of that is desired but sex should still be about you guys just wanting to be intimate with each other. My fiancé and I made a pact that we wouldn’t put this pressure on us after 2 months of feeling pressured by it when we first started ttc. Since then we just focus on enjoying each other and sex is amazing bc of it. Take the dairy off and go have fun for the sake of it 😉 xx

We use conceive plus (switched from preseed) the whole month now. I don’t talk about the opks but he sees them in the trash and sometimes asks “what reading did we get today?” But it took him awhile to get to this, after seeing a fertility specialist at 10 mo ttc
