What is a good age gap in between kids?

My daughter is seven months old and I want to wait till she’s at least two years old to have another but my husband wants to start trying after she’s the one I just want mommy‘s opinions on how it’s like to raise them closer in age gaps versus bigger age gaps anything is appreciated thank you 🙏🏻

I wish we would’ve started trying earlier. My first one came easy. It took me a year after we started trying to even get pregnant. It was a chemical. I got pregnant again in February and miscarried twins. So now we’re starting all over and looking at an over 4 year age gap which isn’t what I wanted at all. 🙁

My sisters and I have big age gaps. The biggest being 15.5 years apart. We are 24, 23, 21(me), 16, and 10. We all get along now, but we didnt at first. Then again, 5 girls and 1 bathroom will never work.
For me, I don't want a bigger gap than 3 years. Being so much older than my youngest sister just makes me feel like I'm parenting her instead of being her sister. Its not quite the same with the 16 yr old, but I definitely feel very disconnected from her world.
I think the ideal gap would be around 2 years apart. Although it will definitely be hard at first, when they get older it will be so much easier. 5+ years apart feels more like a forced relationship.

My first two are a little over two years apart and I wish I had waited a little longer. They are 6 and 4 know and just now trying for #3. I needed a gap!
