My fiance and i are planning our wedding and our budget is about $20,000. My parents are giving us $10,000 for the wedding. His parents are giving us $2,000 we are more than grateful and blessed to have such giving parents. Anyway, we thought we would have no issues saving up $10,000 on our own before our wedding date. Things were going according to plan when all of a sudden i had some major health issues and was taken off on disability. We had one income and the little i get from EI is going towards groceries. He is paying all of our rent. We had already booked an expensive venue and photographer and were super scared. We dont know how long i will be off work or if i can even go back full time again. We were discussing how to cut costs. My fiance filed his tax return for this year and i filed mine. He had student loan interest and it turned out he owed nothing and his return is $8,200! And mine is $2,000. We have no clue how we got so lucky. God works in mysterious ways! Now we are set for our wedding and can now save towards our honeymoon and future home
