What do you think of dating rules?

As women, we are always told to play hard to get or guys won’t be interested. But you go on YouTube and guys are being told that, if a woman takes forever to text back or never texts first then she’s not interested. Some men like being texted first, it makes them feel special /important. So the information is conflicting.

We are told that men like to chase, but men chase women and still play them, cheat on them and never marry them or commit to them. And it seems all the rules are on women. Don’t call him. Text him but not too much. If you miss him , don’t say it etc. It feels like a game at some point. Why can’t we just be real and talk when we want to talk. And say I miss you if that’s how we feel. All of these games won’t guarantee that you will find gold and avoid heartbreak. Which I’m assuming is the point of all of this. Hurt people making up rules in an attempt to control the unpredictable.
