How often do STDs go with no symptoms?

So I’m sure you’ve heard how a lot of times STDs will have no symptoms when someone has one. I was just curious as to if anyone knew how often they do go undetected? Does it happen often? Or is it a relatively rare thing?

Many STDs can go without symptoms. I had an STD when I was pregnant with my daughter and the only reason I found out was because they test for STDs while your pregnant. If you are concerned or feel like you may have been exposed it is always best to get tested.

It is actually pretty common especially with herpes.
90% of the population have one or both types of herpes and 80%  of the population don't know they have it because they are silent carriers and standard std testing does not include herpes testing.
