I’m confused

So I had sex on April 15 and I was ovulating, we didn’t use protection for the first half( after he had already cam) but the rest we need. I was supposed to start my period on Saturday / Sunday & I just had this little bit of brown discharge?? Up until now I have had the white milky discharge. But it’s hardly any of the brown discharge??? What is this ??? Did I start or what?? (TMI: my blood is usually very thick and red so this isn’t normal) Help!!
