Nothing on Ultrasound 🙁

So I took 2 positive pregnancy tests 2 weeks ago and had my first external ultrasound yesterday. Technician said she couldn’t see anything. I expected to be 7 weeks pregnant, symptoms including mild cramping for the last few weeks and bouts of dizziness and no spotting. I’m hoping I’ve ovulated late and I’m not as far along as I thought. Took another pregnancy test when I got home and definitely positive. Not having been able to see a doctor and know for sure that I’m actually pregnant is really confusing. Is anyone else going through something similar? Waiting is so painful!
