Babysitters

How many of y’all use a baby sitter? We don’t have any family nearby and currently use my friends as sitters since they all adore our daughter. BUT one of my friends just got her doctorate and all of the people I would allow to watch her are also invited to her adults only grad party.

We have never left her with a person we did not know so I am worried about separation anxiety with a stranger, will the feed her on time, will they give her enough time to finish her bottle, will they put her to bed on time, will they be attentive...I have so much anxiety over this I am considering just letting my husband go to the grad party for the both of us...

please tell me this sitter business gets easier. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to do this and feel ok about it? I have all emergency info and a very detailed schedule on the fridge and that’s just for my husband if im ever out of the house...I feel like a crazy helicopter parent but I am really just afraid to leave her with a stranger.
