Diagnosed but doing nothing
I had bloodwork done last week that showed I have slight hyperthyroidism and higher levels of testosterone. My doctor had an ultrasound done yesterday on my uterus to confirm what I already knew. Both ovaries had a strings of Pearl's on them and my doctor called me today to confirm that I have PCOS. Since I'm TTC and refused BC he wants me to wait another cycle or two to then do a laparoscopy (my mother and sister have TERRIBLE endometriosis). Is this normal? I'm losing my hair to the point where the side of my head near my ears is completely gone(which they told me to reach out to a dermatologist?!), I have acne worse than a teenage boy (I take very good care of my face and have never had acne in my life), plus the worst case of hormonal migraines I've ever experienced in my life. Theres no way I can see putting my body through potentially 2-3 more months of this (my cycles are usually around 40+ days). I'm not myself and I find it's only getting worse with each passing day. The ultrasound tech warned me that there isnt anyone in my area that specializes in PCOS. Should I seek another opinion? Should they have ran more test?
