How far along were you before you announced your pregnancy? And why?

There are some people I told right away (mostly those I would want in my support network if anything had gone wrong early on) and waited to tell everyone else until we were at least 12 weeks. But it’s totally up to you.

i’m 33 weeks with my first and other than a select few family members and friends, no one has the slightest clue🙈 we can’t wait to announce!!

I told everyone I’m close to when I got my positive at 3 weeks. I don’t go on Facebook so there was no announcement. I choose to tell right away bc I’ve had 2 losses before and I’d rather have support than suffer alone. And I’ve come to terms with the fact that there is no true safe zone on pregnancy.

Immediate family- 8 weeks only bc they were in town. Public- 13 weeks. My first two pregnancies were miscarriages. Some people say they want the support of everyone if they miscarry so they tell right away. I am not a public griever. I have a counselor I see after my mom died and my husband, and a few close friends if I want to talk. I want it brought up on my terms, when and where I want, and not random people with good intentions saying the wrong thing that ends up hurting. To each their own, it all depends on what you would want.

Still haven’t announced and don’t plan on it before the baby comes! I’m 30 weeks+2 and all of the special people in our lives know but I don’t feel obligated/necessary to announce to my social media friends during pregnancy. Plus we think it’ll be fun “announcing” with the welcoming of our newborn come July 😂

12 wks on social media. Earlier to family, close friends and my boss.   Cause — we wanted to :). And 12 wks fell on new years when we wanted to announce and its the “safe zone” to announce

Like 4/5 weeks to only immediate family only like my mom and grandparents. Everyone else was 10 weeks when everything was confirmed by doctors, i haven’t had any miscarriages though and I know some people like to wait till their in the second trimester especially if you she’s she a miscarriage, just preference

Immediately when I found out at 5 weeks we told our parents and my sisters. We announced to everyone at 7w6d after our first ultrasound. We wanted to share our baby and celebrate as soon as possible so matter what could have happened.

We announced at 10 weeks and it was on Thanksgiving. Just did it then because all our family was there.
