Anyone had this car seat?? Did you like it?

I am a FTM and I have a 2015 Chevy Cruze and I’m just reading this instruction manual getting really overwhelmed and scared that I bought the wrong car seat😬Is this ok for a newborn? What was your experience with this car seat? Any advice would be appreciated?

Look at the weight limits. It starts at 5lbs. It’s good for a newborn. It’s just not a seat that is supposed to be taken out of the car once installed so you’ll have to find other ways to carry baby around such as a wrap or baby wearing carrier, a pram stroller etc.

We got it for my daughter but didn't use the infant seat part. I think we put her in it when she was closer to 1

Personally i love these better than the infant seats infants should only be in carseats in the car and as infant seat parents are prone to take them everywhere in the seat

I have a 2015 Cruze also and have the same one. I do love the carseat but also remember that when you and the baby are released from the hospital you have to carry the carseat in and back out, so for that purpose I would get one of the easy carry ones. My husband wished we would have had a lighter car seat that he couldve carried by a handle. Lol.

I have one for my son. He is 2 and a half. You can use this for a newborn over 5 lbs and it can be used as the baby gets older. I recommend getting an infant seat for baby as well so you can take the seat out of the car. But overall a great car seat for price and size.

I don’t believe this is for a newborn, seems for an older child.
Maybe I’m wrong but the newborn car seats are the carriers with the handles

We have it, two actually. We only used it when my son was a little bigger. Not because it’s not suited for infants it was just the timing. 
It’s a good car seat. Relatively easy to take apart and clean. The only think I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a removable part. So if an infant fell asleep in the car you’d have to take them out instead of just removing the whole seat.

I would get their newborn one first. 
just the base sits in the car and you can take the seat out. such a life saver. 
my son actually still fits in his at a year. 
but I'm pretty sure this is the one we just got from his birthday party. 
I've had no problems with our safety 1st products! we have a stroller that the baby car seat can snap into and it's wicked easy.
