It’s a power and control thing. It’s totally fucked up, and people who commit it are in serious need of therapeutic help to get to the root of their own issues. It was common to think it was due to the victims clothing, mannerisms, etc. before, but that’s definitely not the case. It’s never okay, regardless of what the victim may or may not have been wearing.

It’s about dominance mostly. Men who rape want to assert their dominance over women and they do this by raping this because often, a woman isn’t physically strong enough to fight back
