Is getting a humidifier worth it for the baby?

I’ve been debating on getting a humidifier or not and I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth it. What have been the benefits from it or cons.

I think it definitely depends on where you live. I live in the upper Midwest where our heat is turned on for at least 8 months out of the year. My skin, eyes, and nose get so incredibly dry, so I can’t imagine how rough it would be for a baby. A humidifier is a must during the really cold months if you live around here!

We'll be getting one for the winter just because our house always gets super dry and causes extreme static if we don't use them

I’ve been using mine for weeks on my little stuffy nose- let alone for when the baby comes. Helps me not snore so much at night 🤣

We live in FL and we needed one for ourselves because of seasonal allergies. I think it depends where you live.

Definitely depends on the climate you live in and the seasons. It’s always good to have though for when they have a cold.

I think it depends what the humidity is in your house. Have you measured it? Our new apartment is very dry and I've been considering it, tbh. Normal humidity indoors is between 30-60% but ours has dropped to 25 as well. Find a way to measure it over time and make your decision based on that. 
Also don't forget that ideal sleeping temp for baby is also quite cool. Just over 60 degrees. Another thing to consider!

We’ve used ours for our son in the fall and wintertime (we’re in the SF Bay Area). We’ve find it to be super helpful when he has a stuffy nose, cough, or congestion. Definitely not something we need all the time, but it has been worth it the times we’ve used it.

Where we live, the weather is incredibly cold and dry so it definitely makes babe more comfortable to have one. It definitely depends on where you live though.
