Stretch marks or varicose veins

Are these the beginning of stretch marks or just veins? I noticed them a little over a week ago. They looked very faint and deep under the skin and are now looking a little closer to the surface. My OB thinks they could possibly just be veins and I’m hoping that is the case. I am 35 weeks along.
