Factor v Leiden UK

Hi ladies, I'm 15+5 weeks pregnant and have just found out I have factor V. My mum has had a huge clot in the past and both my sister's have factor v. But my doctor's won't do anything with me until I'm 28 weeks and I just wondered if this was the norm? I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks at the start of the year and I'm so worried something will go wrong! Any positive stories welcome.
