Do you get a 3D ultrasound at the anatomy scan?

Also, what is the scan like?  How long does it last for?

Both of my anatomy scans were 2D. I asked for 3D pictures later, around 34-36 weeks.

my scan was about an hour and they measured every thing...head, heart, arm bones, leg bones, checked kidneys, bladder, toes/fingers, gender, and pretty much everything else...it was so neat seeing how much had developed in just 20 weeks

Mine didn’t do 3D. It took probably 30-45 minutes.

My doctors office doesn't offer 3D scans. Mine took about 20 minutes, they just measure the baby and make sure there aren't any abnormalities with any organs, most offices offer to tell you the sex of the baby as well.

My ob office offers a few 3D pictures with the anatomy scan. The scan was about 30-45m. I had to get up and walk around a little/go to the bathroom because Harper refused to give the tech a view of her heart and wouldn't open her legs for the gender. We looked at all the organs and the tech explained what we were seeing, took some good 3D pictures, and then we got a disk with all the pictures from the whole scan and a print out of the 3Ds and the 2D profile shot
