Dates to help labor?

They say to eat 6 dates a day to help with labor. Did you do this? Did it help/not help? Know of someone who did this? Think it’s just a load of bs? I want to hear all of your thoughts on this!

I did this. Had a 5 hour labour from very first contraction ftm. Would definitely recommend

There’s actually some convincing research articles about it helping to soften your cervix and all that jazz. 
I did it, and had a smooth delivery and didn’t need to be induced. But was it because of the dates? Probably not 😀

It’s not going to help with labor the only thing it’ll possibly do is give you the poops and I’m sure you don’t want that.
