Walmart Cheapie vs FRER

Lux

I’m posting this for reference for anyone who may need it either now or in the future.

I tested on 11dpo, 12dpo, and 13dpo all with Walmart Cheapies and on 13dpo I also took a Dollar Tree test. I could maybe, kinda, barely, if the lighting and angle were just right see the faintest whisper of a line on the Walmart Cheapie on 13dpo but all others were negative. So of course I consume myself with researching the quality and validity of Walmart Cheapies both through past Glow posts and through the reviews of the test on Walmart’s website. I vowed if I got a bfp I would contribute to the knowledge base, so here I am.

Here’s a summary of what I found through research. Some people say they were able to get super early positives (8-10dpo) while others say they didn’t test positive until a few days after their expected period. I’m guessing that’s mostly due to when they implanted rather than the test. Also, most people seem to agree that results take a little longer to appear, more like 10-15 min rather than the typical 3 min.

I broke down and bought a pack of FRER and took one on 14dpo and it was positive! Still very faint but visible. I took another FRER on 15dpo and BFP! So for comparison sake on 16dpo I took both a FRER and a Walmart Cheapie. The line on the FRER was visible within a minute or two but the line on the Walmart Cheapie wasn’t really visible until about 5 min and clearly visible at 10 min.

Below are pictures of my tests starting at 13dpo. For 16dpo I took pics at the 3 min mark, 5 min mark and 10 min mark to compare how long it took for results to show. I hope this is useful for someone. Baby dust to all!
