Nursing tank hack!!

So after my last post about ridiculously overpriced nursing clothing, I found a hack on YouTube for diy nursing tanks from cheap Walmart tank tops!!

I purchased a 5 pack of nursing bras on Amazon for about $35 and then hit up Walmart for their $1.68 camis! What’s nice is that the bras can still be worn without the tank, and the tank can be placed on ANY nursing bra with a clip! Instructions below 😉

▪️1. Start with a plain spaghetti strap cami from Walmart. Make sure it is a snug fit!

▪️2-4. Cut the straps completely free from the back part of the cami leaving straps attached in front.

▪️5-6. Cut the front straps to about 2.5-3” long and pull and trim elastic (this makes it easier to sew through the fabric).

▪️7. Fold remaining strap over towards the inside of the tank to form a loop. Sew the loop in position. Repeat on opposite side.

▪️8. Put on your nursing bra and tank top as you normally would and unclasp front of bra.

▪️Slide loops over bottom part of clasp and re-fasten.

Viola!! 💁🏼‍♀️ The tank should be snug enough that the back stays up on its own!
