My son is 7 weeks old. Since he has been born, he wants to sleep with me.

I tried swaddling, he has been breaking out of it, I tried the swaddle up ones where the hands are next to his head m, he cries hysterically.

When he sleeps with me, we try to put him into different sleepers (bassinet, playard, rocker, crib, swing, daydreamer lounger). He wakes up from deep sleep in 5 minutes and starts to cry unstoppable. I know he is in deep sleep because I do the “arm test”. When he cries, I put my hand on his chest to make sure he knows I am there but no avail.

I also tried to put him in any of those sleepers while he is sleepy but awake. Then he gets wide awake because he is not with me.

He then gets overtired and very fussy all day.

I don’t know what else to do.

My maternity leave will end in 3.5 weeks and I want to be able to sleep better.

Do you have any suggestions as to what other option I have?
