Gender reveal?

So me and DF have decided on a theme for our gender reveal, and since this is the first grandbaby on both parents side we want to do a gender reveal AND a baby shower, 2 separate events and dates. However I know baby shower comes way later, but when is a good time to do a gender reveal? We plan to come out on social media around 12 weeks after our second ultrasound.

I’m getting the bloodtest done at 11w2d, and it takes 7-10 days to get the results back typically. So we’re planning ours the next weekend after the test because we want to make sure we have time to get the results in. So I’ll be almost 13 weeks when we do mine.

You should wait till at least 17 weeks. Even the blood tests have been wrong before. There are several stories on here, as well as stories from my cousin who’s an ultrasound tech thats had to tell people their expensive gender tests were wrong.

My doctors won’t even do the anatomy scan until 18-20 weeks...so unless I have early gender blood work done before hand then I’ll have to wait until 18-20 weeks.
