Is it fine to date your ex best friends ex boyfriend?

We just click really well and have been talking for awhile and I really like him?

I’m gonna say no but it isn’t for the reasons you would think.
If she’s your ex best friend; that means you know her inside and out. You probably know about their relationship more than most. You know they had sex. You know a LOT. Would you actually be comfortable being with someone knowing every detail of their past relationship, especially with someone you were so close with? Wouldn’t that bother you? It would bother the heck out of me..

It worked out well for me. We've been together 9 years now.
Honestly, she isn't your friend anymore so it doesn't matter.

If she’s not your friend anymore why worry?  Otherwise if you are still friends depends why they broke up.  If he screwed her over it’s a little rude. But otherwise if she chose not to be with him she doesn’t get forever dibs.  
Side note. I briefly dated my best friends ex. She cut me out completely as a result. But the thing was I was trying to tell her I liked him before anything happened between he and I and she blew up cutting me off which resulted in us dating (figured if she ended the friendship already might as well give it a try). Also she and him had been broken up for over a year and during the last 6 months they dated she constantly told me how much she didn’t click with him any more and didn’t want to stay with him.
Ultimately it shouldn’t matter if she is no longer with him. Like I said above she doesn’t get to have claim on him forever. He’s a human not an object.
