Is it possible to have lost a child and not even known?!?!?

I know that sounds stupid but do you think there are situations where somebody was pregnant and had a miscarriage without even knowing they were pregnant or knowing that they were even having a miscarriage, and just mistake that for a period???

I believe I had a miscarriage when I was 19. I was at work and had randomly developed such bad cramps I couldnt move than so much blood came out. My period was a month late also. I feel blessed not knowing and I dont want to know what was wrong.

Yes. There's chemical pregnancies. In addition, my sister (not knowing she was pregnant) went to a gp out of hours service, found out she was pregnant and miscarrying. Was awful bless her.

Chemical pregnancies happen a lot. Also there is a thing called a missed miscarriage where you are pregnant but don't know you lost the baby. My first pregnancy was a missed miscarriage. It passed away around 6 weeks and we didn't know until our first ultrasound. I was supposed to be around 11 weeks. We waited for something to happen for another month and had to do a d&c as nothing was progressing or happening.

From what I see at work miscarriages are way more painful then periods but I’d assume there’s people out there that have them and don’t realize. Personally my period is so short light and painless I’d definitely know something was up.

My first lost if my sister didn't suggest taking a test then I wouldn't have ever known. It was a chemical which means it was before the heart started beating. So there wasn't much to pass other than clots. I had never experienced it before so I would have thought I was just getting my period to be honest.
