Circumcise my son?

I don’t want to but my SO does because he is. I just don’t want to mutilate my child’s body parts ( I know it’s not a gruesome as that sounds)  please give your reasoning for your answer! He’s 3 months now so there’s not much time left. Thank you ☺️

I was set on circumsizing my son, then when I had him there was no way I could do it. I felt bad just him getting shots. I couldn't put him through that. Then I also realized they are born with it, so it's more abnormal to cut it off. No point. Just teach him properly as he grows how to take care of himself.

I didn’t circumcise my son. I didn’t find it necessary unless he needed it due to medical reasons and so far it’s gone great. He hasn’t had any issues with infections or anything of the sort. An uncut penis can be just as clean as a cut penis. Just have to teach them proper hygiene skills.

I see people say that on this app all the time, but I've never asked why. So...what exactly is the logic behind wanting the son to "look like" the father? My automatic thought when I read that is that they aren't going to look like their parents anyway. They haven't gone through puberty yet. If he can explain why his penis is bigger or hairier or whatever, I don't see why explaining the extra skin would be so hard. Is there a part of this I'm missing?

We didn’t circumcise our son because we BOTH believed it wasn’t necessary. We’d done our research and talked to our pediatrician and medical staff at the hospital about it and they all told us the same thing. BUT I had heard that some men really cared about their son being circumcised if they are (and my husband is) so I told him that if he really cared about it that much that we could get it done. I’m grateful that he didn’t care, but you have to remember that you’re in a partnership and this isn’t just your baby. I know there’s so much that goes into it but your son will most likely be fine either way - don’t let this be something that comes between you and your SO.

My husband wanted to with our 3rd (our first 2 are circumcised) by I said no. I didn’t know the procedure until after my second and I absolutely regret having ever put my poor children through that. It is totally unnecessary. My husband didn’t fight me with our third not being circumcised because he was born with other medical issues that we didn’t know about and required surgery at 3 days old. If my son decides at a later age that he is unhappy with his penis, then we can discuss with him getting circumcised when he is old enough.

I didn’t. Watch American circumcision on Netflix! That’s what I used to decide. It’s totally unnecessary and when he was born I just couldn’t put him through unnecessary pain.

I got both my boys circumcised my husband and I were both for it. It will only hurt him for a minute then with the healing process if he seems like he’s in pain Tylenol worked just fine. It took a couple weeks to heal. The doctor said it looks worse than it actually feels for him. 
Also, it’s never too late to do it, there are grown men that get it done. Also one of my boys was 6 months old when he had his done (long story) my other son was 3 months old but he was in the NICU for 3 months so they did it the day before he came home.

Nope not medically necessary. I wouldnt want someone to cut off my lips or whatever. 
Its purely cosmetic, if you teach your son how to clean properly, then there wont be problems. My boyfriend is not circumcised, never has had a problem to this day. 
But its personal choice..
