How would you pronounce Issa?

We want to name our baby Issa if a girl as in Lisa without the L but I'm not sure how to spell it. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I grew up with someone whose last name was spelled that way and it rhymed with Lisa, so that’s what I think when I see it as a first name as well. But I have also known someone with their first name pronounced that way spelled Isa.

I knew a girl growing up with the pronunciation you want and it was spelled Isa, “Issa” reminds me of slang so I’d probably pronounce it wrong

I have a cousin named Isa (sounds like Lisa) with only one s. No one ever pronounces it with a short i (as in Melissa) so i think spelling it Isa would work for you.
