Missed miscarriage?

Just found out I’m 4 weeks pregnant. I’m terrified of bad things happening. If you have a missed miscarriage will pregnancy tests begin to fade?? Is that a way to know? If my test continues to darken is that a good sign?

I had a missed miscarriage in January. A missed miscarriage is when the embryo/fetus stops growing but your body still thinks it’s pregnant. The pregnancy tests don’t generally fade, because your body is still producing hcg, which is what pregnancy tests detect. I tested about a week after my d&c (which was 2 weeks after my miscarriage started) and I still had an obvious line. There is no way to know without getting an ultrasound for a missed miscarriage. That’s kind of the point of a missed miscarriage - you don’t know what’s happening. If you experience bleeding, severe cramping, pain on one side, all the things they tell you to look out for, call your doctor. They will also tell you that cramping without bleeding is ok. And, while your symptoms can fluctuate, if they suddenly completely disappear for a couple of days, you might want to call the doctor. 
If your lines are fading, and you’re only 4 weeks, it might be a very early miscarriage (or chemical pregnancy). 
You do NOT need to have your hcg levels checked unless it’s standard practice at your doctor’s office or you have a history of miscarriage or you experience the symptoms to watch out for. My midwife/Ob office doesn’t check them because they feel it isn’t medically necessary for a first pregnancy. The results can be very misleading and cause unnecessary stress. And unless you get them checked EVERY 2-3 days, there’s really no point.

Getting your hcg levels checked would be best but some dr's don't really do that I've had 2miscarriages 1chemical my first miscarriage was a missed miscarriage i never got my levels checked ob said there. Was no reason for it this is my 9th pregnancy and i asked my ob if i would be getting my levels checked she just said that my scan was best 😒 but finally got them checked do to spotting.... God luck
