Induced?

Well, today I found out that my fluid is continuing to get really high, and because I’m considered high risk and my baby is having complications, they’re going to induce me at 38 weeks.. which is in 12 days.

I’m a little nervous, I *ideally* didn’t want to be induced, and wanted to have my daughter at 40 weeks but if this is what’s safest then it’s out of my control.

I’m a FTM, and I was wondering if any of y’all have been induced and what exactly it entails? Do you go into labor right away or just whenever your body gets ready? Is it a big shot like an epidural? (I know dumb q lol) Any info would be appreciated 💕
