Anovulatory Cycle

My recent devastation...

At the age of 36 and TTC #1, I decided after 7 months to go to the doctors. I was sent to have my blood taken to see if anything was or wasn’t happening...

In the UK we have to wait for our blood results but I was fairly confident I was ok... I’m reasonably fit, healthy, active in my job and AF is regular every month!

I checked in for the results about 5 days later to be told my liver and kidney function was all fine and no further action was needed. My hormone results however showed I’d had an anovulatory Cycle. The doctor was very matter a fact with no empathy...

I had to google what it all meant as I was completely devastated by this point.

In short an anovulatory Cycle is when you don’t ovulate. (Low Progesterone) Now this doesn’t necessarily happen every month but coincidence just the month I had my bloods done 🙄

The doctor said it could be at the time I had my bloods I had ovulated a lot earlier.. now if they had taken their time to ask me about my Cycle I would have told them I ovulate around day 10-12 (I use clear blue digital).

I’m now sat in the car park waiting for round 2 of blood tests... I ovulated (or so clear blue says) 2 days ago....

Can anyone share their stories of having an anovulatory Cycle and what I can expect to come....
