Is 8 weeks 2 days too early to announce on social media?

I’m having a really hard time resisting the opportunity to announce on Mother’s Day!
  
PS. I had an excellent transvaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks 6 days. Doctor said everything looked great and we saw a heartbeat of 139bpm.

It’s really a personal choice. For me, I’ve done both.  I told people early because I wanted the support if something happened. 
I had a miscarriage previously and we didn’t announce the pregnancy. It was really hard having to act like nothing happened.

I got a bit of sideye from people for announcing at the very end of my first trimester instead of waiting until the 2nd trimester.
This was AFTER my 12 week ultrasound and NT exam came back perfectly normal, and NIPT results were also clear. I think that a lot of the older generation don't grasp just how much MORE information we can learn about our babies early on than even when we were born.
You get to decide for yourself when you are ready to announce your pregnancy. Just know that the timing of your announcement will be the first in a looooong list of things that other people will judge you for.

It’s up to you. With my first I announced at 12 weeks and my second I announced at 14weeks. 
My sister however always announces her pregnancy the day she gets a positive on a test before she’s even 6weeks. To each their own.

We always announced early (8+3 with my daughter and 9+4 with my son) but it's also a personal choice! If you want to go ahead, and if not that's okay too ❤ congrats!

I announced right away! It’s a journey and you should want to share it! And if something happens, then something happens. You can’t live afraid of the what if’s.
