When to start TTC

Question

How do you know when you're ready to TTC? My husband and I got married 4 months ago. I've always wanted to be a mom, but I dont know if I'm ready yet. I would love to have a baby, but do I have baby fever or am I actually ready? I guess right now I'm just enjoying the married life. 
We want kids because we just want to be parents and we see our cousins and niece and nephew run around at family events and I would love to add our own to that bunch of kids but... idk. I'm also just enjoying it being only my husband and I... any advice is appreciated.

I think it’s the same with marriage, when you know, you know
When hubby and I first got married, I told him he was waiting at least 5 years for a kid
A month later, I told him to scrap that, I wanted a kid now 😂 
But if you think you can support and provide for a child emotionally and physically, and you’re willing to do it, I think go for it

As long as you can afford them then feel free to have a discussion and see if he’s on the same page. I think (especially true in most developed countries) women are putting off having kids till later on because they can afford to and that they want to pursue their careers/interests etc. Only you know what’s best for your family. 
Personally hubs and I are on the fence even having any, we live in a HCOL area and everything is expensive, including raising kids. (Our neighbors are struggling with 2 kids under the age of 10)
Personally we’d like to save alot if we do decide to have one. That way all of our resources go to our child and they will want for nothing (for most things). I remember when my parents couldn’t afford both of my after school activities and while it sucked at the time I guess I became more financially aware at a younger age and maybe it made me a better adult in the end-who knows. But I know today, it’s twice as hard to become financially stable (compared to older generations)

If you wait until you’re “ready”, it will never happen lol you’re never truly ready. I’m still scared every day and my son was born in March 😂 but I love being a mom, wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Definitely talk to your husband, tell him that you’ve been thinking about it and get his thoughts. Maybe he’s been thinking about it too, you never know!! Just make sure you’re financially ready and emotionally ready for the most part and take the leap. Good luck ❤️

I started TTC in November 2017, no luck. We had been discussing when to have children before we wee even engaged (Oct of 2017). We both knew it was something we wanted we’d like at least 2, 4 max, hell at this point I’d settle for 1 because getting negative test is heartbreaking. We both want children because we would like to be young parents and grandparents. We don’t want to be in our late 40s with kids still living at home let alone high school.

You don’t say your age, so I am saying this assuming you are both relatively young. I would say don’t rush it, unless you KNOW you’re ready. You are still “fresh” married, it’s just you and your husband, and this is time you will never have again. Feel free to give yourself a little more time to enjoy being alone with your husband, and of course talk it over with him. Obviously when to start ttc should be a mutual decision. I’ve been married 1.5 year, and I’m still not ready. Every couple is different, so you and your husband need to talk things through and decide what will work for YOU guys. Don’t worry about other people pressing you to start a family immediately, or about people pushing you to wait longer.
