Moving across the country

Ok mamas, we currently own a home, have a soon to be 7 month old baby (and a dog) living in Ontario Canada but are looking at moving across the country to BC.

So my question is, has anyone else experienced this? Where do we get started? Advice?

What we have thought of so far is selling as much stuff as we can, buying a trailer to pull our stuff (we have a truck) and driving (we would also take my car). Maybe renting a house for the first little bit?

- All of our family lives here (in Ontario).

- Hubby would probably go out before hand to check out some areas.

- We are thinking it wouldn't be for at least a other year
