Dock a tot worth it?

What’s everyone’s experience with the dock a tot? Is it worth the $?

They aren’t within safe sleeping guidelines so no. If you want something for your baby to lounge in during the day just get a Boppy Lounger, it’s much cheaper

In my opinion no. They are not be used on any elevated surface (bed, couch, table), or in any crib, or at night, as any child sleeping in it needs complete supervision. In essence, to me, that makes it a very expensive nap device that you have to lay on the floor. 
I personally was better off buying a pack and play and moving it into whatever room I wanted my daughter to nap in. At night she slept in it in our room for the first 7 months. It was easy, cheap, and created good sleep habits from early on because she became used to sleeping in the same place night and nap.
If you are concerned about the baby not feeling safe in a large area, like a crib or pack and play and purchasing the dock a tot for its “womb-like” structure, I’d remind you that the baby cannot sleep there at night, so getting the baby used to sleeping in a swaddle is likely a better tactic for recreating a womb. I personally loved the brand “woombie” swaddles because they zip from top and bottom so they make diaper changes at night easy. (I have no affiliation with the brand whatsoever, they just worked well for us) but I’m sure there are other wonderful brands out there too. Good luck!
