Puerto Rican dishes?

Does anyone have some yummy and easy to follow puerto rican dishes, either main or side or snacks? My husband is half puerto rican and says all the time how much he'd like to have his favorite foods that his family used to make when he'd visit them, he doesn't know the names and I've asked my M.I.L and she won't give me any because she wants to be "the only woman who makes his favorites" 😐😒 I'd like to try and surprise him, I taught myself some Korean dishes that he grew up having and surprised him with those and he was THRILLED.
