Thoughts on the pill?

Anyone have any specific thoughts or stories on the pill? Everything I hear & read scares me away from it like stories of people almost dying etc ..

I’ve never heard of a person dying from the pill, but the side effects can be rather nasty for some women.
I can’t take any form of hormonal birth control without experiencing at least one major negative side effect. Most often, I get yeast infections that don’t go away, low or no sex drive, weight gain, and depression. As soon as I got off hormonal BC and started using condoms only, I had no issues.

I was on the combination pill and loved it. I’m on the mini pill now and still love it so far. Don’t buy too much into horror stories, there are a lot of myths out there and birth control affects everyone differently. Stay in communication with your doc if you have any concerns

I started the pill when I was about 15 to make my periods lighter, they used to be terribly heavy and I’d bleed through my pants at school which wasn’t fun, and it helped so much - my acne also got under control with it and I barely get any cramps, so in my 5 years of experience I’ve had no negative effects

I loved mine! No acne, never cramped, super light periods. It made me not hate my period so much lol. Didnt have any weight gain or any issues at all.

Um I’ve never heard of anyone dying from the pill. 
I’ve been on the combination pill for 8 years and I love it. My periods are so much lighter. My acne got better. And of course, no babies.
