Why my one year & 8months son holding his poop?

My son holds his poop and doesn't want to poop, he feels pain and fear while poopin.
Any suggestion what to do? He is suffering from this condition.

I make sure I have plenty of prune juice and pears for my daughter when she does this

A lot of times, kids will hold their poop if it hurts (constipation/etc). Try working prunes or pears into your little ones diet to make the stool softer and less painful to pass.

My little one does this.. I was advised lots of green veg, plenty of liquid even if its juice or squash. I cook and blitz the pear and it seems to work for my LO. Also I was advised to sit her on a toilet for gravity sometimes it's the nappy that stops them too xx
