Okay all you who put once a week needs to leave that situation or go to couples therapy it’s not fair to a child to grow up like that if there’s something you can do to prevent it

Once a week you guys really need to put your big boy/girl pants on and find a way to make the situation better. Either fight when the kids aren’t around or start permanently solving issues to fight less. That’s not a good environment for kids or anyone

We don't yell in front of your children. If for some reason we are in a heated argument it will be cut short until the kids are sleeping. By then we usually have had time to cool down.

weve agreed to argue in places where our daughter isnt or to take a walk and talk about it because i grew up in an aggressive household. my parents would break shit on eachother and just in general. my mom has hit my stepdad with brooms and things and i specifically rememeber calling the cops when he hit her with a hammer.
so my SO will not raise his voice at me in public or in front of our child (im not the type to yell, he isnt either but its more likely for him to than me)

Well at least the ones that are once a week are being honest don’t judge us. I’m sure like me they don’t want to but it just happens. I’d like to say sorry to my 4 year old son on speech delay 😔 he says “ aye stop, be nice! ”

We aren’t yellers. I’ve actually never heard my husband yell in anger at anyone only when he loses in video games lol. I’ve never yelled at anyone either besides my sisters when I was younger. Yelling gets you nowhere cause you won’t listen to what the other person is saying and try to fix it. I’ll never yell in front of my daughter I went through it from a baby- 19 years old and I don’t want her to experience those anxious feelings.
