When did you start pelvic exams to check your cervix?

Personally I don’t see a need to unless you’re overdue or are having complications

I don’t get checked till after 40weeks. Cervix checks are unnecessary unless for medical reasons. Knowing if you are dilated or not doesn’t indicate how close labor is and stresses women out. It can also irritate the cervix and cause spotting - which also may cause unnecessary stress. Some women walk around dilated for weeks and others don’t dilate till labor.

Dilation means nothing until you're in active labor. Cervix checks are a waste of time unless you're having true contractions.

Dr said I’ll have my first at 37 weeks. I have gestational diabetes and little man is looking big. I’ll probably be induced at 38 weeks so the dr just wants to see what is the best way to do that.

I did starting at 34 due to proddomal labor. I was at a 3 from then until I delivered at 38 weeks
