I had my ears pierced about 3 times when I was 5-8 years old. Each time I ended up having to take them about because I was pretty active and they could never fully heal. To this day I wish my parents had gotten them pierced when I was younger because it would have been a lot easier lol.

If you insist on doing it early, do it after she’s had her tetanus shot but before she can fuss with them.  Like 7-8 months old.  Personally, I regret my family pushing me to get my daughters’ ears pierced young and as teens they don’t even wear earrings.

I will not pierce my daughter’s ears until she’s old enough to ask for it and take care of them herself. But that’s because of the experience I had when my ears got pierced. My parents took both me and my sister at the same time (I was probably around 5-6). My sister went first and screamed her little head off, so of course I wanted none of that. My parents actually bought a piercing gun and did mine while I was asleep that night. (Apparently I was a pretty heavy sleeper when I was younger.)

Personally I would wait till they ask. Regardless of what you decide just make sure it’s a real piercing shop and not a mall jewelry store. The people that work in the mall stores are not certified. The guns they use are notoriously unhygienic and not the right way to do it.
