I moved to another state a few months ago and it turns out one of my really good friends from the state I used to live in has family one town over from where I live and she was visiting them this week and asked me to meet up with her and of course I wanted to. We made the plans and decided to go shopping and I was all excited...BUT she never showed up. I sat in the parking lot of the store where we planned to meet. An hour goes by. I thought maybe there was traffic or she was lost or something so I message her saying what car I’m in and that I’m in the parking lot. Thirty minutes goes by and I message her asking what car she’s driving. It was getting really hot so l decided to go inside the store and I messaged her that I would be doing so. I walked around the store for a two hours thinking she might still come (she’s not the type of person who plans stuff and doesn’t follow through) but it was getting late and it was around dinner time and I was getting hungry and I get really bad hunger pains so I ultimately decided to leave the store. She never responded to my messages or showed. I woke up this morning to a text that I received at 1am that simply said what car she was in. I’m not really mad, but at the same time I was really looking forward to seeing her and yesterday was one of my days off from work and I had other things to go do and I put them off just so I could meet up with her. Am I right to feel this way? Why would she make plans and not follow through? When we were talking about it she sounded just as excited as I was and I’m shocked this happened because it was her idea.
